Color and Shape Search Tool

What’s inside:

• Sheets filled with pictures in various colors and shapes.
• A set of lenses, each in different colors or shapes.
• The child’s task is to pick a specific sheet and a lens, then use the lens to search for and identify all pictures matching the lens’s color or shape.

Ways to play th is activity:

1. 1. Color Hunt – Choose a sheet and give the child a colored lens (e.g., red). Ask them to find all pictures on the sheet that match the lens color.
2. 2.Shape Detective – Using a shape lens (e.g., circle), challenge the child to spot and

point out all matching shapes on the sheet.

3. 3. Timed Search – Set a timer and let the child  race to find as many matching pictures as possible before time runs out.
4. 4. Two-Player Competition – Each  player picks a different lens. They search the same sheet at the same time, and whoever  finds the most matching pictures wins.
5. 5. Memory  Challenge – Show the child the sheet without the lens for 10 seconds, then ask them to recall and name pictures they think will match the lens when it’s

placed.
